Writing

Words matter. They have the ability to affect, to inspire and to provoke. They can entertain and help you make sense of things. They can bring to life ideas, big and small, and knock you off your feet. They can make you smile and laugh, as well as make you think differently. And they can be meaningful and poetic, full of beauty and wonder.

As a seasoned and accomplished writer, I have written widely and extensively on a wide range of subjects, and with clarity and authority. I can put together purposeful and captivating copy in a range of styles and to any brief.

This includes highly readable and shareable short and long-form articles; treatments and scripts for animations and videos; authoritative, research-driven white papers; and, among other things, short, sharp and compelling social media copy.

Editing

With years of experience in editing and proofing both brilliant and decidedly substandard copy – and across a wide range of subject areas and industries – I've become rather adept at fixing and sharpening text so that it's free of errors, reads well and delivers on its objectives. And that it's consistent, too.

I offer a meticulous and detailed approach to subbing and proofing, ensuring that whatever it is you want to say, you say it well; that your facts are accurate and attributed; that your copy flows and makes sense; and that spelling, punctuation and grammar are all taken care of.

Again, this applies to all types of content – including articles, scripts, white papers and the like.

Managing

Overseeing the entire content production process on a regular basis, with a strategic approach at the centre of it all, requires the creativeness and expertise of a writer and editor, and the organisational skills of an operations manager.

With a successful track record in overseeing all aspects of production for the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Speedo, Volvo and ESET, involving multiple internal departments and external agencies and stakeholders, I offer a reliable, results-driven and creatively rich multi-platform management service for all your content needs ... and on a global scale.

Consulting

I offer a wide range of editorial, content and branding services that are designed to create a lasting impact. This includes helping organisations develop or refine their tone of voice; devising strategies that ensure brands better communicate and connect with their audiences; and advising businesses on how to set up, manage and create content, and boost their marketing and comms efforts while they're at it.

Training

With a PGCE PCET and ample experience in teaching and facilitating lessons and workshops to a range of individuals and organisations, you’ll benefit from a professional, engaging and collaborative learning experience that's fun, active and tailored to your specific needs. Can deliver one-off sessions or programmes of study over a number of weeks and months. Specialisms include journalism and content.
